  • I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SOLID CONSTRUCTION. WE MADE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO OUR LIVING ROOM - BLEW OUT A WALL AND ADDED FRENCH DOORS, CLOSED UP WINDOWS AND RECONFIGURED THE WHOLE ROOM.   • I highly recommend Solid Construction! 10 years ago my husband and I decided to put a sizable addition to our existing Glen Ridge home. When asked our architect for recommendations for contractors, he provided Neil and Solid Construction (he said this is who does the work on my own house). We felt that spoke volumes about Neil and his company and the type of work he does. Neil provided a proposal based on our drawings and not only came in on budget but was completed a week earlier than expected. This was a 9 month project. An addition to the first floor and basement, a large kitchen, butler pantry, mudroom, addition to dining room, 2 bathrooms, a large finished basement. He and his crew arrived every day. We never had a situation where the project was on hold. His attention to detail, professionalism, ability to handle unexpected problems (in old homes) is what made this project so enjoyable to be a part of. He always had a solution and went above and beyond. He is a master carpenter and his workmanship is perfection. In addition to all that Neil is simply a great guy and is easy to get along with. He is ethical and brought enthusiasm to the job. I was going through this renovation with 3 young children at the time. Neil became part of the family. He and his crew were wonderful with the kids. Always safety first. Within the last 10 years Neil has returned to do additional projects in our home (office, master bedroom wardrobe, etc). I have recommended Solid Construction to several friends over the years who have been just as pleased.
